چکیده
The emitted levels of CO2 continue to be a striking topic. These emissions have been growing over the years, thus, making them predicament reckoned with. Eradicating such has not easy because finding an optimal determinant achieved by scholars; however, foreign direct investment inflows are known play role in varying instances. Therefore, analyze impact that on emissions, this study employs data from 41 African countries 2005 2019 and aims assess how other variables influence levels. Moreover, tests validity pollution haven halo hypotheses employed as its two main objectives. In addition, financial structure capita GDP increase countries’ levels, while trade openness causes reduction. Based aforementioned findings, recommends government, policy-makers, industries, interested personnel study’s should: apply execute policies, laws, regulations will deter or punish polluting encourage clean ones; since green finance is waves but well established most financing systems should initiated implemented; establish preferential trading policies highlight addition value via technology; practice carbon capture, usage, storage.

متن کاملThe Impact of FDI on CO2 Emissions in Latin America
This paper uses panel Granger causality tests to study the relationship between sector specific FDI and CO2 emissions. Using a sample of 18 Latin American countries for the 1980-2007 period, we find causality running from FDI in polluting intensive industries (“the dirty sector”) to CO2 emissions per capita. This result is robust to controlling for other factors associated with CO2 emissions an...
